stereo comp.

i plan on competing in a stereo comp this weekend. just had my system checked out and i am pushing 143.6 db. my system consists of 2 12" ppi c2 subs and a ppi 200 watt amp. does anyone think i may have a chance placing in the top 3?

wow power precision everything huh...im not sure either...ive been to some audio competition shows where people off the streets are pushing 170db of air from their subs.

Remember that 12'' subs don't have as low frequency as 18" subs. Therefore your super low bass, lets say between 20-32 Hz, will not be as loud as your 50 Hz bass. Now I don't know about your subs, but if they aren't designed like JL W7's then you got trouble. :o

ya matters who show up there, i know a guy around the GTA that hits 164 ish in a gmc safari with 2 18" strokers, so ya he would kill u but i dont know the guys in ur area, 146 isnt that bad u should do fine good luck

Yeah, I got lucky that time. I am going to another one tomorrow to see if I can do any better. Bought a new ppi 2100 400watt amp today, dont know if i will install it as of yet.<p>[ August 17, 2002: Message edited by: Ronnie ]

try going to your local car audio shop and ask them, they should know of someone that has a meter to use. If all else fails, just go to a stereo competition and test it out there
