removing factory front door speakers
Can anyone help me?<P>Hi, I have run inot a problem when removing my front factory speakers.....they seem to be glued into place??? I have removed the three screws and they are just staying put. What can I do, has anyone else experienced this???? Help I do not want to destroy them......<P>Thanks,<BR> Brad

just pull on them by the frame, it is just sealing stuff to keep cold out.

YA YOU CAN EVEN STICK A SMALL FLAT HEAD SCREWDRIVER BEHIND IT AND PRY IT OUT IT DONT HURT NOTHIN

just pull man, their only stock speakers, even if u wreck, which u wont , their only wroth like 5 bucks

Are u all sure I will not wreck anything, b/c it took me a long time find this car and I do not want to screw anything up.....

I'm sure too. I just had them out this weekend to measure to holes. I used a paint can opener, wich is also useful for taking off the window handle. If you're woried about scratching your paint, then put some electrical tape around a small flat screwdriver. <P>BTW the diameter of the hole that the speakers go in is 5 and 13/32" the hole depth is 3 and 1/4" on my '92 rs. So you should be able to fit most 6 and 1/2" speakers in there. If you get more power, youll want to increase the number of mounting holes.
