Harness

Post by alpaca »

Does anyone know if you can get a harness that would go directly from factory to factory? ie: one harness to hook up a sony cd-player to the MX-3, without having to buy two and crimp them together. Where might I find one if they do exist?

Yes, you can. This is the way I wire ALL the stereos I put in. It makes it really easy to uninstall too. Many companies sell harnesses like that, car stereo stores have at least some.
You'll want to buy an 'into car'(mazda) adapter and an 'into radio'(your new one. Then just solder them together. Since the ground for ther radio isn't on the 'into car' adapter you'll have to put a small 'male disconnect' terminal on the wire coming off the radio harness which attatches to the Ground out of the car.
I used http://www.installer.com/wires/ and they have good quality, low prices, and reasonable shiping speed. There are a lot of companies out there to chose from though.
Good luck
tk1138
