Pioneer in-deck alarm hook-up

Does anyone know how do hook up the alarm switch to pioneer or any other stereo??<BR>Its the kind that beeps until you put the face plate in. if you fail to the alarm goes off via the cars speakers.<BR>I've followed the instructions but it cant pick up that the door is open.<P>HELP!

Not sure about this but I imagine there has to be some sort of wiring that attaches to the dome light circuit (that provides power when the light is on) so check that out.

Look in your CD Player's user manual. If you don't have it, go to <A HREF="http://www.pioneerelectronics.com" TARGET=_blank>www.pioneerelectronics.com</A> and search for the user manual there. It is in Adobe Acrobat so make sure you have that (I would download the .pdf instead of viewing it on the net. It is 100% faster)

Alright, I have the same one. Double check everything: You put the spliter on the white/yellow: one going to the dome light and then to the fuse holder, the other and the other half going to the door switches. Did you buy the relay you need for the brown cord? Also you have to set it up on the deck.<BR>You have to set the DFS alarm to recognize the ground trigger from the DFS alarm setting menu. You set the Door system to DOOR-L: CLS. <BR>Hopes this helps, if you are still having issues write me back.
