Hey,
I am getting a new car alarm and there are so many different features. What are musts and what are just a waste. I have a excellent stereo system and still working on it, so protecting it is a must.
Thanks

Well, you will want:
a good siren,
a dual-stage passive sensor,
a backup battery,
an LED or scanner,
an interior and exterior proximity sensor, tilt sensor,
glass breakage sensor,
current sensor,
and I am putting a piezzo siren inside as well (could you sit inside a car to steal a sterio with a 144dB siren blaring in your ear?? Neither could I)
Alot of people suggest a paging device, but I personally think it's a waste, becuause you won't be able to get to it in time, and if you do, you could be putting yourself in danger. All they do is let you know you lost all your stuff. Not worth the $50 and I don't want to have to carry that big pager around with me.....maybe it would be better for women cuz they have purses, but I couldn't do it. Hope some of this helps.
