Most audio CD players will play CDR media just fine. It probably won't play 80 minute cd's but the standard 74 minute cd's should be fine. CDRW's most likely won't work as only the newest head units have a laser than can pick up the encoding on cdrw's (different from cdrs) Your best bet is to burn one and try, they cost only a few cents, and it won't damage the player if it doesn't work.
Cheers

Yeah, give it a shot. I mean, your deck isn't THAT old. So it should read fine.
But if it doesn't, try putting in a CD Cleaning disc. It's good practice to pop such a disc in once in a while, just to brush off any dust particles in there, and on the lense. Then pop in your CDR again and see if it will read it.
[ September 24, 2001: Message edited by: GMGQ ]
