I'm looking to replace the stock speakers in my '92 GS. Word out is that the stock speakers ar 5.25" but can be replaced with some 6.5" speakers with only "simple mods". Does anyone know exacly what these mods are? Also what is the best speakers out? Im thinking about some Kennwood 3 ways but not sure. Finally is it possible to slip 6x9" in?
matt
The BEST is MB Quart by far, but 5.25" is about $350USD. Kenwood is a great name, so is Infinity. I am going to go Kenwood all around. From my deck to my speakers, to my amps, but it is basically a personal preferance thing.
~Ryan~

are you going to use kennwood 5.25" all the way around or are you going with 6.5"ers. Because ive heard that if you put6.5" in the door panels the windows won't close all the way... correct me if im wrong.
matt

well i have 6.5"s all the way around. my windows close fine. all i did to them in the doors was use 4 self-drilling screws and in they go!
note i do NOT have pwr windows so i dunno if there is a difference, but i suppose the glass is the same.
------------------
93 MX-3

I am going to put 6.0" components in the front, and 6x9 in the back.
