I just wanted to thank you all for your oppinons. I finally sold my rims off my Subaru and after paypal and shipping and B.S. I made $410 dollars. My mx is stock now, and my G/F is getting me the black altezza's off ebay and possibly a CAI for x-mas. I have an oppertunity to get a set of Motegi 17" rims on Toyo tires for $400 used from a friend. Should I wait on the rims and buy some other misc. stuff including getting my exhaust exhaust (custom). The stock exhaust has been broken for months. If you think I should skip the rims for now, what should I get instead (besides exhaust probably costing about $100)

If those rims and tires are in great shape, get those. You can get exhaust, engine upgrades alot easier than new rims. Especially for only $400 with tires.

well, I might have to get that exhaust after all... I pulled over on the way home cause its real loud (runnin straight off the cat), but i'll see what I can do(maybe put it on the credit card) The rims are in decent shape , a few scratches, and the tires have 80% tread on them. They retail for about $1400 new, so even with the scratches its a good deal...Dilemas...dilemas. Thanks for the input, keep posting.

go to the local autozone or something and just buy some piping to repair your exhaust as a temporary solution shouldn't cost you more than $50

the exhaust need some serious work and I have no garage. If all I had to do was slap in some flex pipe I would have done it. The flange in the read is broke befor the muffler, and the same pipe is broke again at the cat. Im going to get the exhaust done cause the guys going to hold the rims for me. Im going to spend my cash I have now on miscelaneous stuff including exhaust and get the rims in a month or so. As I am just starting to trick out my mx, what would be a few other things you'd recommend to start with

And you wonder why your car is stock!! LOL Just kidding. I lost a girlfriend of three years because of cars... i'll never do that again. Good for you man.

I lost my past 2 g/f's because of cars, but im not lettin this one get away. I am lucky enough to find a girl who likes cars too, even though she drives a focus! Update: Got my exhaust done! Custom mandrel bent 2 1/4" cat back, greddy copy muffler. Nice sound, and I actually can notice the difference in power. Money well spent, i'll post pics soon. Oh yeah, I got my "mx-3.com" decal today as well, yay!!!

Out of curiosity, but how do you lose a g/f because of cars, just do i don't make that "mistake" (maybe it's a good thing, maybe it's a bad thing)? Just the standard "you spend more time/money on the car than me" or other reasons?

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. I guess it all just comes down to jealously. LOL

yes... times when are more excited about your car than her! Example: Just got my AEM intake for my civic and was really pumped to install it. Told her i'd be over at her house by 5:00, called her at 5:30 telling her i'm gonna put this intake on first (bad move), then being the idiot that I am my friend in his neon blew past me so I chased him and flew past him when he was bouncing of his speed limiter(even worse move), had a chipped ECU with a raised rev limiter, held 5th too long trying to go faster and blew one of my spark plugs to peices... Must have pre-ignited. Didn't harm anything else crazy enough. But thought I blew the thing up. Well this came to that cause I was worried i'd toasted my newly swapped engine, she came out to my house around 7:30 and was pissed as all hell. Almost got myself canned for that one.. But then a year later she cheated on me and we were done... i'm not bitter!
