Will I need something else besides DVD burner on my computer to burn DVD's from DVD to DVD-R?

just wondering, would CD-RW write on CD-R's ?

So Ive got CD-RW and DVD-ROM ill insert DVD into DVD-ROM and insert blank DVD-R into CD-RW and it should copy?

No.
You need a DVD burner in that case, not a CD burner.
