ok guys.. i live in California, and last night i saw a Nissan Skyline GTR.. like an R33 i think*.. anywayz it was so freakin cool!!! right hand drive.. HUGE exhaust.. like a religious experience just bein next to him. the guy saw the altezzas and sped up to see me.. but sadly had no interest. LOL but anywayz! my question is this: if i had the money, which i almost do, should i:
A. Buy a skyline and bring it over here?
or
B. Buy the KLZE motor and put it in my car?

i really wanna fix up my car and stuff, but that skyline was just so damn sweet. prolly the rarest car i've ever seen! so anywayz, this is my dilema. (as you can see, cars are all that matter in my life) lol thanx

Unless u got about 60 grand, give up on the skyline.

I'd rather have a Z06 vette for that much.

Umm talk about comparing apples to peanuts!! since when does tha klze cost $60,000 US. If you got that kind of money why are u even here? Go buy an rx8 and call it a day.

i can get a 1996 R33 shipped to california for around $10,000. then conversions cost about $3000 i've heard. the glass and smogging.

then again.. a klze, swapped in, would cost around $3000 i'm thinkin. it would make my car awesomely fast, and make me smile. but ya know i love dem skylinez LOL!

and nvrsrdnr!! its funny you say buy an rx8 coz my sister just told me to do the same thing! hahaha so whats so cool about em? i mean i'd have to keep it for 5 years (til i pay it off) but is it fast? enuff room inside? lol thanx guyz

You may be able to get an R33 for that but definately not a GTR R33...
If you are going to get a skyline get a GTR..

0-damn fast in about the same time it took to realise you should not have just done that.
I have a very good friend who imports to Australia so am pretty up to speed with what goes on..
Actually : go to cardomain and have a look for GTR Skylines.. I actually saw 2 or 3 of them on that site that were for sale and were willing to ship to the states.. But your $10000 estimate is a dream.. you better be prepared to double it or tripple it for a GTR R33.. Rou may be able to get an GTR R32 for around 10-15K..

2 GTRs?!?!?!? Iv just mabe a new friend ! lol dude thats insane! have u messed w/them at all(like body kits, engine...) If so send me some pictures man!

But sam, I would say go with the KLZE motor now and do some body work with your car, and when u save up enough $$ to buy a GTR and have extra $$ to put into it I say go 4 it!

I don't have any oics of the 2 I own but on my web site I have pics Of the 2 I just bought and am selling! That right.. right now I own 4 GTR's but hopefully I will sell the other 2 before they arrive from japan in Late Jan.
Not too many mods to mine.. The are damn fast as is.. I have just done exhausts and BOV, Power FC boost control etc.. They are really nice and AWD and 4WS makes them handle like nothing else!

it cost well over 3000 for the conversions....

lets see...glass, emissions, engine work, inspection of saftey devices, airbags etc etc...comes out to roughly 25000 i know this simply from a friend looking for a r33 to bring over from is car getting destroyed.

and ok, build a kl-ze, give it hella balls...risk breaking a lot, or purchas(if you have the money) a skyline stock thatll walk the mx-3 kl-ze and not have the risk of breaking ****(unless you tend to rip the living hell outta the tranny) dont get me wrong, i love mx-3...and im still seraching for a new one, but a skyline or supra...yeah, if i had the money im all over that, or a rx-7!!

good luck selling your two r32's....get that alumm wing off it!!!!

You own 4 GTR what's? Which model? Why would you put a new BOV on it? The R34 skyline with it's 4WS isn't that good of a handler. Watch Best Motoring and you'll find this out pretty quick.

Another question, they already have Skylines in Aussie land, why would you import them there from Japan?? I'm not trying to be an arse or anything, but it just sounds kinda fishy. Especially when you said you had 2, then you had 4 in your next post.

yo mang whats your website? i wanna see tha skylines for sale! and how much? lol just curious of course (i think i'm gonna go with the klze, and keep saving for a possible gtr) but yea i'd totally go with the R32.. lighter, rwd, same cool look as r34, same hp pretty much. latez

They didn't get R32,33 or 34 skylines in Australia, not officially anyway. They did build earlier skylines though. 4 GTR's? why not, i've got a mate with two myself, it probably equates to 35-40,000 US$ for both

Why not have 4 skylines?? As I said.. I have a very good friend who imports.. He can only import so many a year so I help him as well.. I sold 3 of my skylines over xmas/ new years and now have one.. My importer friend has 14 R32 GTR's arriving next month.. If you have the money$$ too outlay.. it is actually possible maks $$ on cars instead of losing it.. My mx-3.. I did as a hobby as no one does them up over hear.. Skylines are a dime a dozen!
There was only something like 100 Austrailian delivered skylines.. The rest need to be imported just like yours!
