My MINI has finally arrived!

Post by cjthor »

Well after months of waiting I am now the proud owner of a 2003 MINI Cooper. Luckily I work fer the place and I got to build whatever I wanted and I get to drive it til the 04's come out. I basically got every option available including Nav and Xenon lights. It is beautiful. Check it out and let me know what you think! Last three pages of my cardomain site. Thanks. http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/v ... &page=6
[ November 05, 2002: Message edited by: cjthor ]
[ November 05, 2002: Message edited by: cjthor ]

Right now I am just tryin to put the 1200 miles on it for the break in. I am hoping to put a Remus exhaust, front strut brace, and a chip from superchips.uk. There is also a 200hp turbo kit in the works from minimania.com. Toooo much fun stuff!!

Those mini's deffinately are gutsy cars, I would get one, but they're kinda unpredictable to drive in the winter up here

By unpredictable I meant that it probably woudn't do much good in a snow storm, neither would a MX-3 for that matter.
My MX-3 was lowered and I remember going up even further north to a friends house, the snow couldn't have been more than 1-1.5ft high, and I got stuck trying to get into his driveway
cjthor I don't know what the winters are like in Oregon? But would you drive that car through 1-2 feet of snow?
It's an awesome car, don't get me wrong, if I had one, I wouldn't drive it in the winter.

The system works excellent for wet weather. Black ice is another story. For this you want to turn the DSC off.

Uhmm, the MX3 is EXCELLENT in the snow. Maybe not with lowering springs, poor tires and/or somebody who doesn't know what to do with it, but if it's not lowered, has decent radials and somebody with knowledge behind the wheel, it's hard to beat it for a small FWD. I've taken two of my three GS's through 1' of snow, with no problems, they jsut plowed right through it. It's taken me places where my 4WD friends fear to go..
