I just got done driving my moms rental cavalier and OMG, my brain is still jittery from get shaken all over the place. I know your not supposed to do neutral drops in cars, but omg it still didn't squeek em, not even a little bit, and I doubt a 5 speed would improve it

how sad, why would anyone in the right mind buy a cavalier!?

I know someone with a new cavalier and it came with some sort of factory limiter that when he starts to burn the tires the computer suffocates the engine to the point that the revs drop so dramatically he nearly stalls. Then I know another guy who just plays his out for show, told me that racing it is pathetic so he makes it look tough and takes it to import shows.

my girlfriends brother has one but its pretty fast. he has headers, to excuast. CAI racing clutch, and the engine is a Z24. And i must say his is damn fast. He also rigged a switch so if he goes over a 100 the govnor cuts off when he flips the switch

i've driven a rental cavalier as well.. 2002 model with 50 miles on it and it was damn slow, comparitive to stock neon. Not only that but damn the engine was loud both inside and outside the cabin. Z24s are competitive, but when it boils down to it, its still the lowest chevy this side of geo

My parents once owned a 92 cavalier, and I beat the s--- out of that car

I can't remember the amount of neutral drops I did in that thing and it kept on going

still was a pos and slow as snails though.<BR>The Z24 is a different car though altogether, I think it has something like 145hp?

Hmm, caveliers aren't that bad. My cousins wife has one and the only problem we had was the brakes. My girlfriend used to have one and no problems. Plus the new ones are sexy as hell.

umm calvrelinos are for queers and I worked car jockey for gm and let me just say that they are s--- boxes.

I cant give props to any domestic and find it hard to believe that mazda is using ford motors in their pickups. hopefully this won't continue in other mazda cars. bottom line if you like switching gears at 4000 then go ahead and get a domestic.

Aren't the new body Z24's designed by toyota. I think it stops at body though, otherwise I would have expected a little more hp.
