Mazda MX3 Hesitation Problem.............HELP??

I have a Mazda 94 MX3 (V6), it will hesitate, especially when cold, and only when accelerating from a stop or slow speed. The car hesitates (jerks) and the engine light will come on, but it does not stall out. I've had it in to a shop; they hooked it up to the computer and said it was the distributor. They've replaced that 3 times now. The problem seems to go away for a couple of weeks but comes back. <B>null</B>

Manual or auto? If its auto theres a bunch of selenoids that can go bad of thre could be metal in the pan which is clogging the valve body and what not. If its manual, theres a million things taht can be wrong....you can message me on AIM and maybe i can help you out. Good luck.
