I recently had the misfortune of needing to call a mazda dealer to find the price of 1 plastic centre cap for the honeycomb wheels. it is an understatement to say i was horrified and nearly suffered cardiac arrest when the gentleman on the other end informed me it would cost me $55 USD + tax.
does anyone know if this is correct and if so does anyone have one i can beg, borrow or steal?
thanks guys.

I don't know what the price is but come on man it's not like he quoted $600 or something like that? You must have a weak heart if something that is $50 almost gives you a heart attack.

What he needs is the little round plastic cap with the Mazda emblem that goes in the center of the rim. $55 for that is ridiculous! I mean, it's a piece of friggin plastic that serves no real function.
Muzdog: Did you lose yours or is it just that the metalic paint is worn off?
If it's the paint, you could just paint it yourself. If it's missing, you'd be better off at a junkyard.

I think the parts department at Mazda is out to lunch. I needed an axle for my 92, and they wanted over $800.00 Cdn for it! I ended up buying an aftermarket one (with a lifetime warranty!) for just over a hundred bucks.

HOW did you get that rim looking so CLEAN! I have a set of those that are really nasty. I want to clean them up and put them on my car.
