92hp auto against 170hp more than likely with a mtx. it's gonna take more than a little. w/o forking over a ton of money to get that motor up to par....look into nitrous, motor swap, or custom turbo kit. but my advice, if you want steert performance of ANY kind, get a mtx
Fast imports only come on two wheels.

Actually isn't the Protege LX a 130hp car? It's the se model that has 92hp. You still have a lot of work to go to catch upto a gsr.
Might I suggest taking the motor out and have the cylinders bored out and the heads ported and polished.
I think the only engine that would be easier to take out would be a honda engine? Ok.. First of all.. ProtegeSTS is riding a 1st Gen Protege Lx... Which is in fact 125-130hp stock.. The year of those cars are 90-94.
Now, you are talking 95 Protege LX, that SECOND gen.. Dohc 1.5 engine..
I suggest you go read www.protegetech.com for any help, or question toward that car.. I learn stuff from that site.. interesting things. :)
