fuel/oil probs

Post by mazdaguy1138 »

First I have a prob of lots of blue smoke coming out of my exaust when I start my ca up whe is cold but in about a minute or so, no more smoke. I can start my car up later in the day with no blue smoke coming out. Im thinkin that I may have some how blown a gasket or something. Second when my gas tank is about 1/2 full I cant make a right turn no matter how easy without my engine dieing. Is this a bad fuel pump going out or some thing else?

Blue smoke usually means oil. It is possible that you have some kind of slow leak into the cylinder or intake manifold or something. When you first start there is a lot of oil, and then things clear up. I wonder if a bad valve-guide seal can do this?

It might also be possible that some of your emissions systems are malfunctioning and something is radically mistuned while you are first warming up, but I don't know how this would make "blue" smoke.

Hopefully someone else can answer this better. Let us know if you find the cause.
