Acually if you are looking for more displacement, Flyinmiata makes a kit so you can make a 1.8 to a 2.0.

That may be overbore and stroker kits that you are thinking of Clinton? I think that max overbore is more like .120"+ (3mm + ) on the BP from what I've read.

I just meant how much to take off surface of block and head. I'm a believer that the piston should be a lot closer to the head than it is.

Well my name is clayton not Clinton, gosh no. And ya the thing i am thinking of is the stoker kit from FlyingMiata. It brings the displacement up to 1995 CC. it looks like a great kit. And if you are going for N/A powe they have it with 11:1 compression. BUt i would go for the 9:1 and turbo the beast!

ahhhh crap... I really apologize for putting in the wrong name. I thought I had it straight in my head when I posted. I honestly didn't do it on purpose, I've just been half asleep all day...

Anyways, I'm going the turbo route and doing some head work on the engine I have. The turbo kit is being built by Turbine Tech, and the combustion chamber and port work is being done by myself.

I'm hoping the 1.8L will do me for a while though.
