Very big rotor button problem

this is getting me pissed off! I have the right parts, i know im doing this right, but the stupid bastard wont go on there! Somebody please help me! I even popped it good with a hammer!

I DID SMART ONE!!! No matter what i try and do it STILL wont go on there!

And you've compared the old and new ones and they're identical from every angle, top, underside, shape, height (especially). I picked up one once for my 626 and it looked identical til I realized it wouldn't go on right cuz it was 1/4" taller than the original. Yet the autoparts places had the taller one listed for my car... and they were wrong. Just asking...

THEY ARE EXACT!! Could i heat the rotor button up and maybe then it will slip on there? My friend had to do thatto one of his cars one time.

Well hot damn i got it on there. BUT i had to goto autozone to get another rotor button. So lesson learned...dont buy a rotor button from advance auto because WONT FIT. but i still havent figured out the gas mileage problem.
