the cone filter can't add more than like 4hp on our engines, and 4 is kinda pushing it.

I've had 92 SOHC 1.6l and I currently have a 96 DOHC 1.6l. I beat the hell out of my 92 trying to get it to spin in second, and it just never happened. 8) I've tried a few times with this one, but I've only pulled it off once, and it was embarrassingly short. 8) I think 2nd gear is the worst part of the MX-3.

Dude, you have no idea how hard I was on that poor 92.. I used to push it right to 7000 rpm, all the time. It was great! but I had one of my buddies try, and he's as hard on his car as I was on mine. He had no luck with it either, and, according to him, he can get anything to spin. I just don't hink it's possible. Anyone know of a way to change the gearing in the tranny?
