lost spark!!!!

lost spark!!!!

Today as i was driving it seemed liked it stalled as i down shifted. I changed the spark plugs, cap and rotor under the cap, also got a couple used coil packs but still no fire. COulld any one give me some advice to what else i can do or check before i say screw it and take it to a real professonal. need answer like ...yesterday!! Thanks..

Sounds to me like it would be the distributor...Im not 100% possitive but a couple of guys here had the same problem and it was that!!!! Your talking big money there!! Good luck

Its sounds like the distributor!!! A couple of guys had that problem here and it was that..not 100% possitive but sounds like it and would get it checked!! Your looking at big$$$ there!! Good luck!!

have you checked for spark for each cylinder? what year is your car?

its a 92 changed the pluggs. well i have to check the disributer then.. i let ya'll know what it is.. :crying:

to check to see if you have spark, unplug your fuel injectors, pull the plugs out (leave them in the plug wires) and lay them across the valve cover. have someone watch them as you start the car. check to see if any of them have spark. this will help you narrow your search.
