Slow, ~17.5 depending on the driver.

You are looking at mid to low 17s depending on mods. As the previous poster said, the MX3 1.6 DOHC car stock is a slow car.

Mid to low? I'd try mid to high with mods, high to 18's stock :p

I ran 17.7 with intake/cat-back on a "slow" track. A lot of people say they run .3 slower there than they do at other tracks around here, for some reason. Don't ask me.

And I do know how to drive.

All mods are not as contructive as people seem to think.. Not to rag on it but its the truth. Stock cars in top of the line conidtion ran those times. Dont forget motors dont really get stronger with age, let alone all the problems they can pick up along the way.

Orion from the MX-3 Quebec club did
with his 1996 MX-3 RS Blue Creek Mica :

16.735 @ 81.942 Mp/H 2003

He has the timeslip and the club was at the drag with him. He wasn't using slicks or anything, he just have a CAI and lightened pulley I think.

So no, it's not necessarly 17.5 and higher for a 1.6 DOHC.
