Hey capt. Your posts got me curious. Damn near impossible to find info on the Web for your model that isn't in japanese (which I can't read). It appears that you have the Eunos Presso model. I put your E-EC5S model code through a google search and these sites at least give you SOME english language info... good luck.

I assume by "engine upgrades" you really mean engine modifications & not replacement? You already appear to have a high performance version of the 1.5L DOHC I4 motor as your engine model is a B5-ZE and is rated 15 Hp higher than the North American 1.6L DOHC I4. (120 Hp vs. 105 Hp.). Still, I would think that basic mods like a cold air intake (such as PRM) and exhaust upgrade (such as 2 inch mandrel bent) for a 1.6L DOHC would be suitable for your car as well.
Beyond that, possible turbocharging (expensive) but I don't know enough about the japanese-spec engine to be sure. Use the search function on this UBB and pay attention to the DOHC 4cyl related info you dig up. Then if any questions, post em. At least now you know your engine type and can go from there. Is it possible that you are the only UBB member w/this engine? Might be an idea for a new topic. Your call mate.
