I am having problems putting my car in gear sometimes. The only way my shifter will go into gear is if I force it in. Is my tyranny going bad?

i'm assuming it is a standard, do these cars run on a clutch cable or hydrolic? if there is no clutch cable then try bleeding the clutch lines with some dot3 thats what i did in my maxima when it was doing that and it worked great... just a thought

Your clutch could be going, but yes bleed your clutch first, I was have the same problem... I was having to push my clutch through the floor just to get it to go into the gear, after bleeding it, it works great.

how do you bleed ur clutch? i know how to bleed ur brakes... but never heard of bleeding a clutch? i think i might need to do that too...

On the trany toward the front of the car is the slave cylinder for the clutch. It has a bleader valve just like your brakes. It uses fluid from your brake revivor.so just losen the bleader valve on your slave cylinder and make sure you have brake fluid in the master cylinder and pump your clutch. almost exactly like your brakes.

I think it is also possible that it could be your syncros? Maybe I'm an idiot, but I believe that reason you can't put a car into first when going 15 miles and hour (without forcing it) it because the speeds are too far for the syncros to work quickly. Thus, If it is hard to put into gear in all gears, would it not be possible the cause is the syncro? If it was me, I would try driving and double clutching, before, or after, you bleed your clutch. I might be a total moron, and I'm sure some one will tell me if I am, but hey; It makes sense to me.

BTW...I hope for $$$ sake it is what everyone else said.

I am going to try bleeding the fluid. My clutch is only 8 months old. Thanks for the feed back
