The PVC that i used is 3". Heres a list of the things that i bought to make it.

1. 3" Wide 1' long PVC (youll have to cut this piece if you buy by the foot to make it fit)
2. 3" 45 degree bend piece of PVC
3. 2 3" hose connectors.

Depending on what kind of filter you have it will be hard connecting the filter to the PVC, i was lucky enough to have a perfect fit with the original adapter from the filter and the 3" hose connector. (Sorry if that was confusing)

Also they measure the inner diameter of the pvc to 3" the whole pipe from mine was 3.5" with the sides.

Sorry if its confusing but it will all come together when you buy the stuff.

Oh and last the total cost without the filter was around $15, beat that PRM.
