well I left work this afternoon driving back home and this is what happened...
Speedmeter Stopped working, RPM working and everything else, the HOLD started flashing i went crazy ..shuted off the car and turned back on ..and still the same..car is running NORMAL nothing wrong with it at all, jus this two things...
any ideas of what's goin on or what's wrong???!!!
Just an FYI i jus got 15" rims yesterday and i have The SOHC RS.

is the mileage counter on your cluster working too? if not, then its most likely the speedometer cable coming loose or is damage. easy replacement and not expensive.

i checked the cable it's hooked fine behind the dash but i dunno if it loose from the transmission or whereever it hooks..and how do i know if the cable is hooked right..

my hold light was flashing and i have the same car, i looked under the hood and on the throttle body one of the electric connections was loose just a bit... i pushed it in and that was it... may be something like that... also check all your fuses.

okay, checked all the fuses they're all fine, speedometer still not working the milege meter as well. I'm goin to take to the shop friday or something, hopefull i wont have to pay a lot of $$$$.
had anybody even had the same problem before??!!

Anyone know where the speed sensor on a 93 SOCH??

My 92' SOHC MX-3, did the same thing, i pulled the Speedometer cable out of the tranny, and found that the little plastic gear in the tranny was all screwed up. And there isn't a speed sensor on it, it's either your speedometer cable or that little gear. -Joe
