couple turbo questions

Post by airjordon_09 »

Just have a couple questions for people who have done the swap. How much in total dollars do you think you spent, not including instalation, and also, is the bp swap the most powerful for our cars?

thanks

Most powerful for the 4cyl ive always thought was the BPT GTR properly tuned.
Im not done my BPT swap yet but so far just on engine, tranny, clutch, electronics, misc parts ive spent over $6,000 canadian (thats not including the Haltech standalone, fuel pump, injectors, intercooler, gauges, misc piping etc..). Im Shooting for 220+whp, if i dont make it with the GTX ill be ditching it and putting in a GTR. Since september when i placed my orders ive dumped about $12,000+ canadian into just parts, by Spring ill have dumped over $15,000 easy, im hoping to be done May-June 2004.
Installs = free, the car will be done by me (except bodywork).

my gtx swap is looking like it will cost about 5-6000 US right now. all i have left to buy are the haltech and all the piping. it will probably be a little over 5000.

with everything on my cardomain page, i put in almost 6grand. you can EASILY get 220whp out of the gtx. the gt-r is a waste of money unless you get it for a REALLY good deal.
