I found the problem with teh PRM intake was it did not replace the hose all the way to the throttle body.

i bought a ractive cold air system for the SOHC with little modification i attachted it to the DOHC. i noticed a much deeper sound, and a little bit of differnce on my top end.

i dont think you installed it wrong cause your car wouldnt really work. do you have an aftermarket exhaust system on your car ? if so the sound from that might cover of the sound frok the intake.
do you hear a sucking noise from the intake now or not ? on mine you can really hear the air being sucked into the intake.
anyway hoped this helps ya out bro.

No aftermarket exhaust and no I can't hear the air being sucked in. Don't know what to do.

I did find one thing...the nipple is not connected to anything, I don't see a vacuum line that came from the stock intake to put on there..

Cause all the preparation and cost can be about the same, except you don't have to refill a turbo.

I know, I mean from what I've seen (not that I've looked too hard) N2O kits cost about 800-1000$ Canadian.

ya a good kit will run you likt 1000 cdn thats not bad, and install isnt all that hard.

but if you really want a kit you can find someone selling their old one i bought mine for 400 cdn cause the guy had a kid and his wife wouldnt let him have the stuff in the car.
i got lucky i guess.

I have a 4 banger 1.6 and a PRM Intake. I can definitely hear it sucking air and a LITTLE extra performance on the top end. Nothing drastic though.
