Does anyone know where I can get a short shifter to fit my car? and also does anyone know what it means when im driving and as I drive i usually give the tires a little squeal between gears but my car wont do it anymore. All it does now is just revs up to about 6000 rpms and stays there for a bit and then slowly drops down to the regular around 4500 rpms. I was told it might be the clutch getting bad but does anyone know what I can do?

Pacesetter and B&M both make shortshifters for our cars and they are all over, best place i remember is nopionline.

wow, sounds like ur really hoping that clutch will grab. no wonder ur tires don't chirp anymore, you fried your clutch just like Kuruption said. i suggest that you re-evaluate your shifting technique before you worry about a short shifter. if you persist with this kind of driving, you are really gonna piss off the drivetrain...you don't have to kill the clutch to take off fast either, trust me ...my baby has 117k on her, and my stock clutch still grabs enough to get nice spinnage on 205 width Falkens. try matching your revs when you shift, your clutch will thank you.

Oh i dont think that the clutch was me. When I purchased the car, the clutch was fairly bad and I could only get the tires to chirp between gears ocasionally. Now they seem to not do it at all. Most of the worn out clutch is from the previous owner but I probably did a number on it too.

Yeah def the clutch. Mine went out the same way about 2 years ago. Mine was so bad that when i excellerated to fast you can hear it rev faster then I was moving, it was funny.

That is exactly what it is doing! it revs up to about 5grand when im doing like 2 lol
where can I get a good clutch?
