Today I went to a japan auto parts place in my area and they wanted to charge me 600 bucks for a mx-3 4cyl dohc tranny with 40,000km and they also said the reason fo ri t being that price is because its a j-spec tranny.... <p>LOL! Im just curious but can anyone tell me what the difference is?

or you could pay 600 for a tranny with 200 000 km from your local junkyard

i can get transmissions from junked mx3's with about 150km's on them for $75 where i live.

i paid 7750 for a front end clip off a protege lx.. and that is a whole hella lot more than a tranny.. look around before you let yourself get ripped.

I'm just kidding dude, just making fun of all those Honda owenrs out there who pay like $7000 for a liscence plate frame from a JDM Civic Type R. In all seriousness that doesn't sound like the best deal and it sounds like that guy is jerking your chain, I'd look around some more.
