$550 is a real good deal. Mine is $685, I'm hearing you can hit the 200 hp range with the b6t with mods, thats enough to beat a lot of those pesky hondas out there.

yea i think its a good price to. I still trying to think would it be better to save money for the bpt or just do the b6t?

with you having the sohc, i'd go for the b6t due to the fact that you have a better chance at fuel management at a reasonable price. you can get the pro lx ecu and use a piggy back. but it all comes down to how much money you have to spend. the b6t will probably be cheaper but the bpt is funner(yes it's a word :D )

lol thanks Ashley.. im maight just get the b6t since it easier to do than the bpt. does the sohc tranny fit the b6t or do i have to get another tranny? also they do really show turbo upgrades for the b6t. does anyone know if a talon turbo would fit the b6t?
thanks
tim

any turbo will fit...well, within reasoning. you just have to find a way to mount it, meaning the flange will have to be altered or get a custom manifold.

whats the highest hp a b6t has got with turbo upgrade and everything? also is the bpt swap and the b6t swap the same concept? or how much more does it take to put the bpt in the sohc engine bay? Last where can i find a bpt engine at in florida none of the junkyards know what im talking about?
thanks
tim

you won't find a bpt in a junkyard. you have to call engine importers. there's a couple around florida, but i haven't found one with good prices yet. as far as putting the bpt a sohc, i don't know. i was talking with derrick(CS) a while back, and he said something about using the gtx ecu. not sure if he ever figured it out or not. give them a call and talk to derrick about it.

B6T is the swap for the SOHC due the plug and play install(same tranny, harness, all the good stuff). I got mine for $600 out of a local junk yard (91 Capri XR-2 w/ 20K verified miles).check Maldo's site for a step by step install.
For the BPT you need to change wires, ecu, tranny, etc...
i think it'll come down to a B6T swap and a BPT swap going head to head to see which is the better swap.

Unfortunately tripod.ca is no longer so I need to find a new place to host my site. Will do as soon as finals are done with. Check the 4 cyl faqs, you will have to search back a ways to find it but all the info plus a few extra tidbits are there.
