speedometer cable

My speedometer cable is doing an awful noise when it's cold outside. I tried to unplug it and remove possible rust and oil it as my friend said but it seems impossible to get it out... any suggestions?

take your front gauge panel off, then disconnect the cable and pour some oil inside the tube, we've done that at the shop before and it works.
