I'm hitting 325-350 km at 3/4 of a tank on hwy and city driving, so I should be able to get 400 km on a full tank.

I get 30 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the road. So, using the 10 gallons of gas between the Full and Empty lines on the gas guage gets me between 300 and 350 miles. If I drive when the "low fuel light" comes on I could get more but why push it? By the way, I use 92 octane fuel.

I'm getting 450 kms/tank. Does octane level have anything to do with it? I try to use only 94. And I'm due for an oil change any day now. I also lose about a litre of oil every 2 weeks.
one

doing 450KM in winter 500KM and more in summer 3/4 long drives (30 km and more)
Ethanol always in tank. Start smooth and push afterward. driving around 120KM/h average. Good tune-up, spark plugs Iridium and NGK wires, Mobil 1 oil.

I always get over 400km have got up to 525km a few times on long trips. I got 325 when I first got the car. You can drive for almost 100km when the light comes on.

The octane of the gas doesn't make a difference in your milage, unless you're knocking. I belive the RS is setup for 83 octane, but I'd go with 87 or so. If you boost, or have a higher compresion then you'll need higher octane gas.
Using oil is bad, but it depends on how it's being used. Blow-by is the real milage killer. Old oil also hurts.
Since everyones gas guages are a little off & refills are at differnt points, a distance/volume formula would be a better comparison. I get a little more than 35 mpg=15 km/L. (km/L=.425*mpg)
