car not starting

Post by tigerlily_0987 »

i have a 94 mx-3 and it died on me 3 days ago. we tried to jump it off, sat there for about 30-40 minutes and it wouldn't start. so i bought a new battery. the lights and everything inside the car come on, but when i turn the key, it all goes black and then it tries to power back up the lights again. <BR>i'm thinking it might be the starter, 'cause it should still start if it were the alterator...right?

It's possible that you might have a bad ground connection. Check the ground wire running to the starter and the ground from the battery to the frame of the car

thanks yall! the problem ended up being much simpler, it was my clamps on the battery. :)
