transmission problem

does anybody know how you add gear oil to the 5-spd tranny? i had heard something abou t it being where the speedo cable was at, but how do you take it off. id there any shortcuts or tips you can give me. ohh yeh how much gear oil does it hold?

yeah...follow the speedo gear cable down until you see where it goes into the tranny case. There is a little 10mm bolt right next to it, on the passanger side(if its the same as mine at least)...take that off, work out the speedo gear, add oil.<P>the G boxes take about 3.5 quarts. Just fill it up until its FULL. having extra is far better than not having enough.
