I had 275,000km on my 92 1.6 SOHC, before I did the BPT swap. The original engine I'm told will last over 300,000km if taken care of. MY 1.6 did feel a little weaker after the 250,000 mark, but that's too be expected. Also note that I drove the car pretty hard (redline) most of the time.

I have about 230,000 Km on my engine right now.. but it's not in the greatest of shape I have to get my valve seals replaced and a couple other things.. I actually just bought a B6T engine and i'm going to rebuild my engine over the winter and sell it next summer.. Need more power! haha ... But yeah up until that whole vavle seal thing everything has been pretty good with it

My MX-3 Still has it's original Engine and it has 120,000 Miles on it, and still running like a beauty, Mazda Engines are extreamly over engineered, so they can last forever as long as you take care of it.

just as a reference, my sister-n-law has a 89 323(non-turbo) with about 230,000mi and nothing major has needed to be done on it. i drove it and it still has some get-up-and-go...for a sohc motor.

Oh yeah, and as for Top Speed, I've had it at about 130MPH, and it was already at about 6 Grand, so it's possible that it may actually make it to 150, but You'll be running about 7-7500 RPMS, which really isn't good for a stock motor with alot of miles on it
