there are two main swaps....the b6t and the bpt. look in the post about the bpt swap...it will give you a rundown on the bpt prices. do a search on the b6t and you will find a post from snyper007 with all the b6t prices. hope this helps.

ok....a brief rundown....
the bpt(which is the one i'm doing in about a month) is from a j-spec 90-94 323 gtx. it's a 1.8L 4cyl turbo.
the b6t is from a late 80's 323 gtx.(n. american and j-spec) it's a 1.6L 4cyl tubo.
the bpt runs around 185hp stock and the b6t runs around 132hp stock
which one is the best is up to you. how serious are you about the swap and what gains do you expect? with the bpt, expect to get a different tranny, clutch, flywheel, and driveshafts along with the motor.....

i'm not sure if i understand your ques. but i'll try to answer. nothing needs to be done to your car except install the motor. if you get the b6t though, you need to cut a hole in your hood(use a hood scoop) for the intake manifold to fit. if you get a front mount i/c, then you might need to shave some of the inside of the bumper...

you can swap anything, but the amount of time, money and resources to swap in a v6 into the 4cyl model isn't worth it in my opinion
