I was just wondering if anyone on here has had to replace their drive shaft on their MX-3.
Mine is going and I have to start getting prices on the job, so if anyone has had it done, could you please let me know how much it cost you.
Thanx,

hey, yeah I did mine the week after I bought it. And the ones I replaced them with were bad "re-manns" so I had to get news ones from the place I bought them from a week later! Do you have to replace both sides or just one? I found that it was cheaper to replace the entire shaft and not just the CV joint. YOu can pick up "re-manufactured" ones from your local auto store. The ones I bought ran me i think around 70 each after core return. I would recommend that you install or if you have someone that knows how to install do the installation because shops will charge you an arm and a leg to do the job, somewhere around 500 dollars. Let me know how it goes. Goodluck

Had both mine done before the meet. $125/side plus taxes installed! KVR performance in Ottawa though.

I have already replaced both of my CV joints so the driveshaft is all I have left to do. Thank you for the advice, I really appreciate it.

I had my passenger and driver side CV joints replaced, and the "clicking" sound is gone. However there is a "creaking" noise when I turn at low speeds (in parking lots for example) I have been told that it is my "driveshaft" but could it possibly be something else?
