When I should replace my timing belt on my 93 MX-3 1.6L? It currently has 59,600 miles on it. How much does it usually cost (USD)?

If you do it yourselt as I did - about $120 CDN.<BR>If you want to have a mechanic do it... I would guess $300 - 400 CDN.

I waited until 105k to replace mine, but Mazda recommends replacing it at 90k. My car was lady driven befor I got it at 98k so its components are in relatively good shape. This is also the time to be on the lookout for CV joints, and accessory belts. You should have them checked out or do it yourself.

Sounds good! I was concerned about it breaking and messing up the engine. One of my friends has another type of car and his timing belt broke and messed up his engine.
