Today I removed the panel in my AZ-3 on the passenger side centre console by the floor (single panel). behind I found a cable that had a white plug on it. The socket end was lying loose next to it. OK, I thought - maybe this should be plugged in. So I did - and the red heat light lit up on my dash.
Can anyone explain if this is meant to be plugged in, and why the lamp should light up? (What does the heat lamp mean anyway?)
I've got a 1995 Autozam AZ-3.
Any help appreciated. Cheers

I don't know what the "heat" light is, so I would take it to a shop. I know when we bought my brothers truck they disconnected the lights behind the dash so none of the hazard lights would light up. Very dangerous, and Very illegal. I would get it checked out immediatly.

a few weeks back I had the transmission overhauled as it totally stuffed out on me. The automotive outfit raved on about water in the transmission coming from the radiator or something (cant quite remember what exactly he said). but he did say they disconnected that method of cooling and hooked up a seperate cooling unit for the transmission. Could this cable be for the thermostat in the transmission, and they disconnected it, since another cooling unit was put in?
