after looking at the www.edmunds.com and www.kbb.com values of the car your description on ebay is grossly innacurate on pricing... you say its valued at $4000 but edmunds puts it around $500 for private party sale *when including condition* and kelly blue book (which is usually priced too high) puts it at around $2000 and as to the wheels being worth $2000 i dont know anyone that would pay that much for used stock rims from an mx3....

Thats bizzare. Must be someone unknowledged on the price of a car in that condition and mileage. Wait till he\she checks the book value and finds out it is 1/8 of the value you said it was. When you say wheels are worth 2000 did you mean 200? This is truely some misleading info on selling your car. Sorry, I couldn't hold back this time... Later, A.J.

Well, for a stock V6 auto, I would say it's worth about $2000. If it was stick around $2500-3000. Only in all-around good condition, no problems. Stock rims might be over $1000 at the dealer, but who's stupid enough to buy them there, when you can pick them up at a dismantler for $150 with tires. Hope for $2000, cause the 92 is the worst year, auto is the worst, cause the trasmission always needs to be replaced anually. Gold isn't the best color for the mx. I'd say the worst, but only my opinion. Sell at $2000, and buy a cheap car like a Hyundai, or VW bug, cause Mazda parts are pretty inexpensive compared to other makes. Good luck.

How do you figure 1992 is the worst year for the mx-3?

I second that question secondly. And VW parts are not cheaper.

A lot of the item description seems self contradictory IMO.

Thought I'll put down my two pennies,

Yeah, I also wonder how the 92 is the worst... mine's running great with exception to the timing belt.. but running 180,000+ miles something's got to be changed at some point...

If you want an answer to that question read, lemonade - that used car guide book thingy - they had something to say about the 92 (forget).

Usually, it is true the first year of any new car model is the worst, but in this case were probably talking minor non-important things. If you think about it, it makes sense - the first year is a trial run sort of, and the second year they can fix any problems they may have over looked in the design, but in this case they might have did that in 94. They thought the seats looked to nice in the 92-93 so they made them ugly as sin in the 94 model - then balanced it out with a nicer dash.
