I believe it would... IIRC that's what MoonEggs' and a few other people's setups do. If you're describing what I think you are, it would look better aesthetically too.

I think the filter thing may have to do with what section you're posting in as well... I think sometimes mine aren't filtered either.

if i recall correctly ;)

I also use a ZE cap (including a distributor)
Don't know if you can use a ze cap on a k8 rotor though.

ZE caps only fit ZE disties and ZE disties only take ZE caps.

im trying to find terminals because i got a msd super conductor wire but its for a old school sbc type disty. but they are like near impossible to find. so im wondering what wire do you guys use for your blaster coil and disty without a power tower. or do i absolutely need a power tower?

FIXED IT! :D :welder: WOOOO! thanks for all the help everyone! went with the msd blaster 2 coil, gm 4prong module and the klze disty/7 plug cap.

BUT

I ran into an issue while driving it home(5blocks) this is what i know that could cause it, but not all i think. the timing is out(forgot the timing light. doing it tomorrow) and the gas is baaad. like 4 months of sitting bad in crap weather(+5 to -30c) so heres the issue, when i sorta try and giver, it bogs out and does a nice face plant. (probably the timing right?) and also this is the one idunno about. the rpm gauge is bouncing erratically and just doin it own thing, literally. i got the clutch in should be at 800rpms(can hear the motors revs) n it just hops around, jumps up to about 2k down to 1300 back up. but it wasnt doing this while it was running in the garage and i was revving it a little. sorry for the speach, i like to be detailed.

when you say faceplant im guessing the car will be pulling then all of a sudden crap down to idle and make the car buck like crazy? my old car did that when i first bought it. i figured it had something to do with the vaf but the problem fixed itself after a few tanks of gas and driving the piss out of it. you could try that method or try drain/clean/refill the tank.

Are you running COPPER CORE spark plugs? Preferably NGK? If you run spark plugs that aren't copper core your car will hate you & do what you are describing. Ask anybody who has been here for a while & tried different plugs.

yah like bogg out have 0 power lol. and hmmm, i was thinking it could just be bad fuel. cause it is oollddddd. and i got an extra vaf, maybe ill try it n see what happens. and im running spark plugs that my cousin ran in his mx-3 klze. there ngk plugs for a 4 cylinder probe. he never had any issues for the 5 years he ran his car.

EDIT: Where is the drain spout on the tank? like back left corner? opposite of the exhaust?

dead centre.

Does the car idle, but hate all throttle? If so, check VAF.

ohhh okay, thats easy then. any tricks to draining the tank? yes it idles perfect at 800rpms but hates it when i push on her. and okay i got an extra je50 one. ill go chuck it on. i need the timing set before i go rippin. dont wanna damage nothing.

Did you install the 1000ohm resistor for your tach to work properly?
