Is that 1/2" MDF? I built my box out of 5/8" MDF and it weighs a ton with only 1 outta the 2 sub's in it. I was debating on having a stereo in my car once I went KLZE to minimize on the weight....Kinda thought of doing something similar, but I want to be able to pull it all out only a couple easy steps. Looking good man, keep up the awesome job!

No, I went 3/4. I'm not too concerned about weight with this one as its my first build; more so for flash than speed. Next one I'll be more conscious of weight. 5/8 is good though for Amp racks and your main floor support. If you are doing like 8" subs you could go 5/8 too but I wouldn't do anything less than 3/4 for 10s and bigger. That is unless you go fiberglass. Then you could just stick with 3/4 mounting rings and be light as air. Plus, fiberglass, as long as its at least 1/8" thick, hit hard as hell. Fill with some light stuffing and you will bass deep. With the MX-3, I'm learning, its hard to get sub boxes built the way you want them in the trunk. I think I'm going to go fiberglass as well.
At any rate, showed up to the house with these at my door.
Power Window Master Switch.
And these beautiful things!
Too bad I can't afford tires yet

Thanks to Night-Shade for the raised spoiler.
Allot of body work to do before she's put on.

Always a pleasure to help out a fellow MX-3er. Nice to see it made it down alright, it was a tricky one to ship! Looking forward to seeing it on your car. On a side note, wow I've never seen an RS with a factory sunroof!

I'm excited. This is the first foreign car I have ever fixed up in my entire life! Looking forward to getting it looking good.

Very cool! Hopefully I can do something really different with this one. Thanks again.

Nothing new to report as of late. I've been working 7 days a week so I haven't had much time to do anything. Looks like I may at least have my new tires soon though. We will see. I'll keep you guys informed.

Paint and clear is done. Just have to compound and blend the clear into the existing paint. Not bad for my first body repair.

Yup. Pinholes were avoided. Well, I had a couple but the self-etching primer took care of that.
