The car looks good as always. Do you have an eta for driving the mx-3?

More pics of the lifted Suby? What did you do for the lift?

My parents had a '90 626 hatch. No turbo, or adjustable suspension, nor AWS, but it was still a damn good car; was the reason why I bought a Mazda. I always thought the hatch looked great, while the sedan of the same generation looks very different, and looked older.

No ETA yet on when I'll be driving...Still have interior and stereo to do, bunch of wiring, exterior/paint..etc...But finally hearing it fire up for the first time in like 7 years was nice...

Passenger side mount I did not make, IIRC I got it from a guy over on clubprotege...He had made only a handful of them..

I'll make an off-topic post with some more suby pics....Basically the 626 I picked up as my "new" daily driver because my suby headgaskets went..I like it so far F2T is tired and needs re-ringed, but boost's 10psi no problem, and I can get 25mpg driving it nicely...not bad for an 1988 car with 176,000miles...

Well, I have been making some progress on my mx...Made a radiator overflow out of a mt. dew can. Welded up a bracket, will probably powder coat it sometime...
Image

Here it is installed (minus the hose/cap):
Image

Finished / cleaned up my CAS and coil pack wiring, with brand new connectors. I'll eventually make my own black plug wires...
Image

Power windows are also now wired up and working. and component speaker pods are installed. ( I have to make a junk yard trip and get an actual passenger side power window door panel)
Image

Just a pic of the mx next to my stripped shell FB:
Image

Still have to mount and wire up my horns, as well as my amp wiring...among all the other miscellaneous things...

more to come :D

Pic showing my eunos steering wheel, mx-3 pedals, euro vents, and corksport white gauge faces:

New fuba antenna installed and wired up:

Since my mx has been sitting since about 2008, mice decided it would make a great home :x
I stripped the whole interior and cleaned everything...most of the nests were in the insides of the door sills and where the wiper linkage is:
Image

And since interior was apart I fit / installed my B-pillar bar:
Image

Pic of the JDM passenger door panel; my new driver side panel...I like how both door panels look identical now:
Image

Side shot after putting the interior all back together, and to show the wheels. I bought these fittipaldi wheels back in 2001, and they have been on my car since then
Image

AND here is a shot of the wheels I will be using for now, mainly because they have brand new tires on them that I got in a trade of some parts:

I'm still around....no updates on the mx-3 unfortunately....work and a bunch more cars/projects are keeping me busy...

i did pick up a pretty clean FB rx7 from the original owner. Its an 83, 12a carbed AUTO trans  ...but only 70,000 original miles
plans are to 5-spd swap and drive it till the engine decides to quit..then the fun starts
Image

And I also picked up my first KL-powered vehicle...95 Probe gt...serving daily driver duty, not sure my plans for it yet
(pic shows my new FB, probe and suby)
Image

last pic shows my mx-3 along with my 4wd protege ( and a friends 4wd protege) 1 of my FB parts cars, and my recently acquired FC project (truck is not mine)
Image

It might be while until I have an mx3 update...but I'll be sure to update my worklog when I do
