Some new pictures :D ...Progress is still slow...currently waiting to get my rad back from the weld shop.

New light bulbs for every light except the gauge cluster.
Image

cracked front lip :( ...But I have a perfect j-spec lip to go on when I'm ready for paint
Image

plug wire cover, miata wires/coil pack/cas, corksport oil cap
Image

HKS ground wire kit & oil filter relocation
Image

Black nylon braided hose..so much nicer to work with than stainless!
Most all oil, coolant, fuel lines are ran using this and black AN fittings.
Image

A bit more wiring to finish up, get the rad all set-up, and figure out what I want to do exhaust wise...
I am thinking of running straight pipe from the turbo back

Any other BPT or 4cyl turbo's out there running no cat's or resonators, or mufflers? How do you like it? or what set-ups would you recommend? Thanks!
:)

Great looking car. I love the euro bumper.

Would you want to sell me your cracked lip since you have a new one to put on... I just need one to make a mold , so that I can begin making carbon ones. :welder:

I like the gauge cluster and steering wheel! It's good to see you paying attention to the details :D (I also like the OEM front strut bar)

nice built buddy.

did you do the engine wiring? you are going full stand alone right?

can you list the sensors that you're gonna keep, and the ones you're gonna add?

i'm doing lots of reading on possibel stand alone's and yours is a perfect example i can get information on..

Thanks, work on my mx has been slow going :( but I have been trying to do some stuff when i can..

Not sure if I will be using the CF hatch or not. I am thinking of keeping the car more stock-ish in appearance, and saving all of my CF parts (hatch, hood etc...) for another MX-3 I plan to eventually build someday  (a black gs)
what did the CF hatch come from and what did it set you back? and are you planing on getting CF doors too?

Hey everybody! been a long time....went back to school and busy with work, and too many project cars...but I'm making progress on my mx-3 again!
stupid me left my mx-3 sit for so long with about a quarter tank of gas and no stabilizer...so of coarse the whole insid of the tank rusted/rotted...an what gas that was left looked like PB blaster :crying: :x
So...new tank was ordered..
this pic is after hanging tank an spray with epoxy primer
Image

Here is the tank during undercoating:
Image

All the rust ruined my FD pump and level sender...So new OE mazda level sender installed and a nippon denso supra TT pump are now in:
Image

Ready to install:
Image

Cleaned out my fuel filter:
Image

Forgot to get pictures, but the injectors were shot, so for the time being I swapped in some 450cc rx-7 injectors we had laying around the shop. Also have a set of top-feed newer wrx injectors which I may try to use, 565cc, but they are very short, maybe some injector dynamic top hats will get them to fit, not sure yet...or I'll just see if I can dig up some rx-7 550cc's somewhere in the shop.

more pic time :!:

My mx-3 next to my lifted impreza project:
Image

My Mx-3 above my 626 turbo:
Image

And finally an under hood shot...but remember this is still a work in progress!
Image

Pretty much it for the time being...trying to work on 4 projects cars at once...but hopefully I wont be gone for such a long time as I was
Thanks everyone
:)
