4 cylinder, 6 cylinder... doesnt matter. COmparing them is fine, in japan, top secret and jun tuning houses can get upto 720hp out of those engines...

so thats pointless to throw in the arguement.

The fact is ive had the KLZE swap, ive had the pleasure of racing ALOT of cars (not on the street of course :D )

i beat wrxs, i beat s2000, i beat lexus v8s, i beat other v8s and v6, and i beat ALOT OF hondas
civic sirs, integras, some with engine swaps some not.

the cars that beat the living hell out of me were
evos, wrx sti, skyline gtrs, rx7s, porsches,i guess the bottom line is

Mazda kicks the sh|t out of honda all the damn time. AND to top it off mazda makes amazingly good looking cars with shapes well ahead of their times and have an overall high quality.

mx3, mx6, mazda6, rx7... etc.etc.. all great cars, all have at a minimum good looks and upto sex on wheels looks when u see an fd rx7.

but anyways a honda never beat me.
1994, GS, KLZE, 67mm TB, LightFlywheel, Centreforce Stg 3 Clutch, CAI, KL36 ecu, B&M shortshifter, Solid poly mounts, lightweight Aluminum Cross memeber, 2.5 high flo cat, 2.5 all back, Tanabe Exhaust, optima battery, ZX2 HD tokicos, eibach prokit, black altezzas.....

hondas werent designed to be these ultimate power cars. as said before...the three g' is kinda correct. they were designed for longevity, and gas milage. the issue isnt the car, the issue is that the stupid honda owners think they have a race car.

i must say, this thread, as gone everywhere, back and off again. very interesting.

mod your car. beat who you beat. but who cares really what they came with factory. change it yourself. or, if you dont have the money for it, wish, dont *****. i used to ***** about the underpowerment of the mx-3, then i grew up and realized what the car was designed for. yes, it does suck having a car we adore givin the short end of the stick. but we can change that, just as honda owners can.

if you want a factory high horsepower car, save your pennies, and grab a vette, viper, gt, or some other fabled car.

one day though, i will own rotary.
i got a 90 pgt...but wish it was a mx-3 bp-t!

to nickmx3...

the japs always didnt have the power. remember the 70's and 80's...their cars sucked donkey. both looks and power. now, what they DID do is figure out how to make power, and have fuel economy with the regulations. something the american companies are now figureing out how to do also. also, right now the public is demanding hp cars. like the new gto, gt, viper, c6 vette etc. in a short 5-8 years, we'll be back probablly in a hp struggle, and focuz again will turn to fuel economy. look in history, the trend is very noticable.

Holy let this post die, Batman!

Any body/company can make a powerful car. Liter to Liter Mazda will beat Honda. If North Americans want, they can charge the v8s and get more hp than any import charged i4, its not far to compare a i4 19psi import to a N/A v8, apples to oranges.

Now for headachs sake close the thread.

One honda Ive always liked are the 4th generation Accords... the LX model for example is

125 HP @ 5200 Rpm
137 lb/ft @ 4000 Rpm <<<<<<<<

this is a 2.2 non Vtec

So i agree with you all about Civics and ive never liked Civics but dont Bash all hondas because not all hondas have max HP at 200000 Rpm and no torque !!
