bought mine in dec of 01, had 60568 kms on it. 3 years later it has 105xxx kms. Still running uber-strong, only thing I had to replace so far was the thermostat, and a battery.

96 GS bought with 80k KMs, now up to 102k KMs. (in 1.4 years) changed the timing belt at 96k, and valve cover gasket.

Gotta do the CV boots soon, but that is standard.

Over 500,000km on my 93 4cyl SOHC nothing ever done to car everything ORIGINAL!! even the ORIGINAL CLUTCH!! But most my driving is the hwy!! But I’m gona be doing my first repair to the engine. I need a new exhaust valve it’s started to burn off!! started to notice less power about 10,000km ago!! and thats how I found out about my valve!! But other then that it still sounds new and was getting 44mpg when I checked at 450,000km likely not getting that now! since the valve has started to burn off!! after I get it fixed I hope to get another 300,000km out of it!! mabey 700,000km before it dies!! would be no suprice!

wow....parents bought a 1992 mazda mx-3.....in 1992, inherited the car after a total of 5 major accidents with the car...lol has about 114,700 miles on her.

I buffed & waxed her the other day and the only thing wrong mechanicly is the front valve cover gasket. everything else is in great condition. Since it was off the showroom floor its only had a taste of super unleaded fuel. won't settle for less.

I bought my 93 RS back in late 98 with 77,000 miles. Now in late 04 it has over 180,000 miles. I still trust it over my 2000 Accent.

93 GS I bought new oct of 93. Had less than 50 miles on it. It now has 150,000 miles. Oil changes every 3k, I'm on my 3rd timing belt + water pump. I'd still jump in it and drive anywhere in the US.

Bought my 93 RS 4 years ago. Back then it had 55k km. Now it has 125k km and the engine is still very strong. I never had a problem starting it during winter (even at -40 C). I do my oil changes every 5000km using good quality synthetic oil.

Bought my 95 GS just over a month ago when it had 112550 Kms on it and I gave it just another 1000 Kms since then this week. Still runs great; still on the original engine, cv joints, struts, and timing belt. The only thing I've had done since I bought it was replace the brake rotors and tires, oil and coolant flush. Pre-purchase inspection at the mechanic's also noted that there may be a small fracture in the exhaust line by the resonator, possible leakage by the valve cover gasket, and I noticed after being out on the highway with it a couple of weeks ago that my CEL is coming up with a warning for my EGR sensor. All of which I intend to take care of in the spring, but other than that, it runs absolutely great. :D

I purchased a pristine 1998 MX-3 RS in Brilliant Black last month. I believe it was one of the last ones made. It has only 33xxx genuine miles on the clock (hurray!!) and feels as tight as a brand new car. It has hardly been used, and is in excellent condition. It corners like its on rails, and i find the 1.6i DOHC unit quite nippy. I wanted this engine primarily for fuel economy as motorists are being mugged at the fuel pumps in the UK. I am in love with the MX-3 (Codename: Blackbird). One of my friends calls it "J-Lo" on account of its prominent yet sexy behind. Another suggested "Dark Angel". Perhaps I really have the lowest mileage MX-3 on the board, either way, i'm in love with this Black Beauty and can't wait to get behind the wheel. By the way, kudos to MX-3.com for being the ultimate resource when i was checking out info on "Blackbird" before i bought her. You guys (and girls too!!) made up my mind for me - i wouldn't have bought this car but for your honest posts. Thank you people!
