This is the color I am doing the whole car in. I used Olympic house paint. I think it turned out pretty good on the bumper.

A carbon fiber hood would look legit with that color. I like it :D house paint for the win.

Haha thanks man. Lets hope the paint holds up long enought to not worry about the outside. I'm not that big on carbon fiber hoods but if I did I would get one that is the OEM shape. :P no dips or scoopes. I do like trim and all being wraped though. I havn't gotten into wraping yet due to no real need for it lol.

Oh I also pushed that dent out. My phone was dead so I didn't get any pictures but I put foam on the handle of a screwdriver, got my hand and wrist inside the panel from the trunk and pushed most of it up and out. :D I added bondo but I ran out before i could finish it so it still has some work to it.

My carpet (thanks ryan) should be here soon along with a ebay MS steering wheel I liked lol.

Working nights doesn't give me much time...or light to work on the car. I didn't let that stop me though :D I was outside last night at 4am with a really long cord and a lamp out of the living room. :] I got the carpet in my car (Thanks Ryan), The carpet is for CAD models so I had to make a few modifications to it but it worked. Later on I'm going to use the carpet I cut out to patch the holes from the CAD components.

Just need new seats, door panels, and the plastic kick panels under the dash and the interior is all done. :]

Coming together cool man. Its always cool to see people happy about the new stuff. Doesn't matter what it is. I love that feeling. I'm digging the green and black allot.

Thanks. For the panels and fabric, I used VERY thin fabric that didn't stretch from Walmart. I used 3M spray and smeared it around to a thin and even coat slowing doing more and more till i have the fabric over the hole panel. The only problem I found with doing it was that your bound to get at lease 2 wrinkles from the shape. I'm sure if you use thicker fabric that can be stitched where the wrinkles are for a nicer look. Also backed fabric will make it better to apply but I think that might also make it harder to get into the creases around the panel.

Over all it wasn't that hard. My second one turned out a lot better then the first and I'm sure if I redo them I could get even better results.

I have been away far to long haha. Work has been all in the way. :[ Sorry not much has been done in the time I have been gone other then actually putting the car back together lol. I'm still useing my prepaid phone camera =[.

I do have good news though :D, My car went into the body shop!

Image

Only the side in this picture has been sanded and ready for a little bondo. I can't have any tiny dents or anything haha, so the time at the shop might be extended just a tad bit for the body to get back to flawless condition. The other side is still pretty close to how it was aside from the fender being off to be reshaped and sanded in some spots. The other side should be sanded while I'm at work tomorrow and hopefully have the bondo'ing started by the time I show up. Also yes I am still going with the "lemon grass" lime green =]
