Yep looked into buying a bumper from the US before,
that is minus import duty too!

I Think I'm going to like that look. It reminds me of a 97-99 eclipse front bumper.

umm.... will you not have most of your bumper support exposed? The gap is the size it is for a reason, there is something under it. Without it, your void any collision coverage.

Yes it has been exposed, it will stay intact though! my plan is to cover
that hole Ive made in the bumper with this:
egded in this:
and if it still looks too exposed I'll just use a section
of black plastic and intergrate it into the grill mesh,
so it looks factory.

more bumper work today,
reshaped the sides, removed lower corners, filled
top with 3 more layers of FB and more wire
mesh to bring the shape out, then filled.
cut the lip joiner out and glassed it back together.
