and oh... 153 @ 7500RPM
Turbo/Supercharger no (that means na)
Compression Ratio 11.0

now amercican muscle doesn't seem so impressive.
Well my Fomula350's engine before mods was 350hp@6500rpms
After mods 600+hp@6800rpms on a 5.7L
and I've put it up next to a lighter SCed 500+ S2000 and it still finished far behind me.
I didn't spray but he did so we were like close in HP but I had 589tq and a lower Red line. The fact is HP, TQ, and RPMs(redline) all effect the speed of the car.
No amercican muscle doesn't seem so impressive at all now does it?

crate motor....nice.

i'm replacing this high-mileage motor with a lower mileage lt1. putting a 305 cam, springs, etc, and going to run a 100-150shot.

going to rebuild the other motor...low compression 383 or 385, splayed 4bolt main....then turbo it.

Acctually I only paid $500 for a zz4 shortblock, still new in the box. My buddy got his for free but he was sponsered by Street&Preformance. we both paid $250 each to have them installed. funny thing is my EFI cost $400 put less hp than my LT1 but alot more TQ.

There was a guy in Goerga/Alabama area I think (I met him at Talladaga Speedway) He Pro Dragged a new Z28 and had around 10 ZZ4's sitting in his shop, he up graded to 454 in his drag car and sold all his ZZ4's for $500 each. But I ran into alot of guys when I was down south selling ZZ4's and EBR's for $350 and up for the shortblock.

okay the guy who use a d16 engine to get 320 hp is dumb that engine only produces 106-108 hp stock, he wouldnt have had to spend so much money to get to 320hp if he used another platform. look about v6`s v8`s vs i4`s come on look at mutsubishi evo 220hp - 280hp depending on model with i4, the japanese know how to make power, i dont care if its a v8 or v6 size dosent matter here, at least very much, in production of hp and torque.if u take a japanese market evo like what we have here it runs about 13 secs stock no mods, in the US it runs about 14 secs, (this is what i read), as someone said above the US dosent and some other countries dont get the most powerful version of some vehicles, why i dont really know. anyhow, hp and torque and how fast it goes, depends on the power to weight ratio. some one above said that the prelude produces 220 hp true but this in a civic or crx will beat an evo in the quarter, why, power to weight ratio. so to say that torque and hp are all that really matter is not really correct, there tons of variables to consider. this can go on and on but in the end all that matters is peolpes preference for v`s or i4`s, and how much money u hav eto spend, for a vehicle to whoop, u power and hp are not all that matters, or whether it`s a v or or not, as is clear to see with the evo, look we have cars here that can do the quarter with a stock body and i4 modded in less than 10 secs.
torque and hp do matter it just depends on what the application is drag racing or circuit or street. gear ratios, power to weight ratio, how fast a vehicle produces this power turbo or na, whether its being built or not, any properly built i4 can produce close to 700 hp, these are just some things that factor in to speed.

The evo is fast, the evo is nice looking, but the evo is also pushing 19psi stock. Thats why I sort of dont like them becuase they are pushing so much already. Yeah they do have a lot of power but at 19 pounds who wouldnt? If I beefed up my BP and put 19 pounds through it I can come up with some pretty impressive numbers too.
