I'm not going to lie, I envy your decision to go with the Ceika brakes...

My "All Mazda upgrade" might save me a few pennies, but it sure as hell makes up for that in inconvenience and time spent waiting. :(

I love the anodized gold look too, it's a little loud for my tastes, but I do like it!

Thanks!

I got them from http://ceikaperformance.com/Custom-Built-Brake-Kit-c11/

i was trying to get a bulk group buy so they would of been cheap for everyone but no one wanted in. As usual with the MX3 community  . So i stuck my neck out and bought a set. They were 1200 shipped to my door. They would of been cheaper but I wanted a couple of extra features on the brakes. Like a extra set of pads, Stainless steel 6 pot calipers, and a larger rotor. So it drove the price up a bit

yeah on of my main goals with this car is to upgrade to stuff I can boast about with other car enthusiasts at track days, shows and import meets. I also love the look of BBK´s. You can have the crappiest wheels on earth but if they cover a nice BBK they look great. Also rims get stolen. Not brakes. :)

I used to have chrome 18" wheels...im a loud "all show" type dude......I got it gold to match my under hood theme. The VC´s are going to be powder coated gold (anodized gold if possible) the intake mani black and the strut bar ends are already gold so it will all blend in. Plus my traction bar is gold. Hopefully if Peirce motorsports still makes the rear lateral arms ill get those and they are gold already.

   It seems to always be stopped as much as its broken down.

I do have a tiny issue with the brakes. They look and fit great BUT they dont fit the wheels. I talked to cedric at Ceika and he said I may have gotten sent the wrong size stuff but he said just to be sure he will send me the 286mm rotor and a different bracket. With this bracket ill have to shave the ears of the front steering knuckles where the caliper mounts so no big deal. I have an angle grinder at school I can use for that when the time comes

Just a side note question:

anyone running a millenia manifold and outlaw spacers...Does your intake rub on the hood?? Mine does slightly. i can tell because there is scuff marks on my manifold  Maybe its just the clips from that fire blanket on the hood

I also bought some stuff for my cheap kullumlink brand endlinks. My stock endlinks broke AGAIN. This is the 3rd set i have bought since i have owned the car.

The peirce motorsport rear lat arms call for a custom endlink anyway so im killing 2 birds with one stone.....ill post pics once i get all the pieces in the mail.

Can you take a picture of the bracket and how it attaches to the stock spindle with the caliper attached. Like the pic you have but no rotor so I can see the bracket. That would be really helpful.

I couldnt find just a caliper bolted up pic but i hope these help

I didnt have everything bolted up all the way in the pic just hand tight. It was just a test fit. Nothing was rubbing and all checked out minus the 15" wheel not having enough clearance. I could sand sand down the caliper a tad but then the set up would look like poopy. Ill just wait for the different rotors and bracket....

I'm running a JDM curved neck with outlaw spacers and had the same issue with the hood rubbing. I took the liner off the hood, then cutout a small section of one of the supports under the hood so the IM does not hit anymore. Plus I spaced the hood up with a couple of washers on both sides (actually made the hood flush with the top of the fenders). Left the liner off, no need for it really.

Thanks for the info on the BBK. I see you have nice 15" wheels, but the solution may be to go up to 16" wheels... that should solve your clearance issue...

Later,
Tim

You know it sounds like something a 5-10mm spacer would solve ;)

Looks great btw

Nice brakes! Are they nice and light too? Aluminium top hats and calipers I assume.
